How to add a vaccine card to Samsung Pay

The biggest hurdle is whether your state, pharmacy or health care provider supports the SMART Health Card, which is how the Vaccine Pass is verified. See the CommonTrust Network registry page for a complete list. Some of the more popular supported pharmacies include Rite Aid, CVS Health, and Walmart .If your healthcare provider uses MyChart, you are also eligible to use the Vaccine Pass.

After you verify that your vaccine provider supports the SMART Health Card, you will need to obtain your digital health card either through the public registry, the pharmacy where you got your vaccine, or through your healthcare provider's online portal. Each of these sources offers a QR code that will link you to your vaccine card.

You're past the hard part. Here are the final steps to add a vaccine card to Samsung Pay.

  • Download the CommonHealth app from Google Play
  • Open the app and select SMART Health Cards.
  • Click on Add a new SMART health card.
  • Select Scan QR code or Add .smart-health-card file depending on what your provider offered.
  • Click Yes, add this card to confirm
  • Click the Samsung Pay button to add an entry to Samsung Pay.
